These terms are an agreement between you and us. Each place is sold to one person, at a per-seat price. By checking the box on the payment page you accept them.
1. What you are buying
You are buying one seat in one cohort of one of our online programs. Prices are per seat.
[Working title, owner to confirm: AI You Can Sign Off On] (the November course; price [placeholder; owner to set]):
- 4 weekly live sessions of 60 minutes, on Tuesdays November 17, November 24, December 1 and December 8, 2026, 12:00 to 1:00 pm Eastern Time.
- About one to two hours of coursework a week, submitted in the portal, with written feedback.
- A final deliverable. [Description and name: owner and curriculum to confirm.]
- Recordings of every live session, posted to the portal within 24 hours.
- All exercises use the fictional company Northwind Supply Co. (section 11).
- [Seat cap: owner to decide.] [Whether this course counts toward the full program: owner to decide.]
- Completion: [you complete the course when all four weekly submissions have been accepted and the final deliverable has been accepted; curriculum to confirm].
AI for Accounting Professionals (US $2,450 per seat; the full program, which follows the November course; first dates [not yet set]):
- 8 weeks, with one live 60-minute session each week, on [day, time, time zone].
- Weekly coursework submitted in the portal, with written feedback.
- A capstone adoption plan built across the weeks and finished in Weeks 9 and 10.
- A discussion group of about eight learners.
- Recordings of every live session, posted to the portal within 24 hours.
- You complete the program when all eight weekly submissions have been accepted and your capstone scores 70 or more out of 100.
AI for Finance Leaders (price [pending; owner to set]; dates [not yet set]):
- 6 weeks, about two to three hours a week, one leadership decision each week.
- A board-paper capstone and a peer group of six to eight.
- [Completion rule: owner to confirm.]
Team training and private cohorts. These are not sold through the enrollment page. If you want training for several people, talk to us at [contact email]. It is agreed in a separate written agreement, which sets the price, payment terms and any data terms. These terms do not apply to it unless that agreement says so.
Access. Your portal account stays open for [period] after the last session so you can download your work and watch recordings. [owner to decide]
Certificate. [A certificate of completion is / is not issued. Owner to decide.] It records that you finished our program. It is not a professional credential.
We may change a speaker, a session time or a minor part of the content. If a change is large, section 6 applies.
2. Who can enroll
You must be 18 or older. A seat is for one named person and cannot be shared. Anyone who signs in with your account is treated as you. You may pass your seat to a colleague under section 5.
3. Price and payment
- Prices are in US dollars and are the prices on the enrollment page when you pay. A price change does not affect a place you have already paid for.
- Individuals pay by card (including Apple Pay and Google Pay where offered) on a payment page run by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to that page.
- Seats are paid by card, by the person who takes the seat. A seat is confirmed when payment clears. Team training is agreed in a separate written agreement (section 1).
- Sales tax. [Sales tax is added where the law requires it, based on the buyer's address. Owner and CPA to confirm state by state.] Your bank or card issuer may charge currency-conversion fees. We do not control them.
- If a payment fails, the place is not confirmed.
- If you dispute a charge with your card issuer without first writing to us, we may suspend your account until it is resolved. Please write to us first. We will answer within [2] business days.
- We send a receipt by email.
4. Refunds
You may cancel for a full refund until 14 days before the first live session of your cohort. For the November course, whose first session is on November 17, 2026, that is until November 3, 2026.
After that date we do not give cash refunds. You may instead transfer your seat to a later cohort, or pass it to a colleague, as set out in section 5. Transfer stays open from that date until the first live session (and after it, at our discretion; see section 5), so a buyer who can no longer attend always has an alternative to losing the seat.
Where a law gives you a cancellation right that we cannot remove, this section gives way to it.
- If we cancel or move a cohort, you may choose a full refund or a place in the next cohort (section 6).
- Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within [5 to 10] business days of approval.
5. Transfers and deferrals
- To a later cohort. You may move your seat once, free of charge, if you ask in writing at any time up to the start of the first live session. The new cohort must start within [12] months. If the price of the new cohort is higher, you pay [nothing / the difference; owner to decide].
- To a colleague. You may pass your seat to another named person, free of charge, if you ask in writing up to the start of the first live session. They must accept these terms and agree to the privacy policy. You and they settle any payment between yourselves; we do not refund you.
- After the first live session. A transfer is at our discretion. We tell you the answer in writing. If you miss sessions you can watch the recordings and still complete in the same cohort. Late work is accepted until [cut-off date].
- If you ask to move more than once, we decide case by case.
- A transfer is not a refund and has no cash value.
6. If we change or cancel a cohort
If we cancel a cohort, or move it by more than [14] days, you may choose a full refund or a place in another cohort. [We may cancel a cohort that has fewer than [number] places filled, with at least [14] days' notice. Owner to decide.] If a live session is canceled we will reschedule it or provide an equivalent recording. Other than that, we are not liable for your other costs, such as travel or time off work.
7. Conduct
You agree to:
- treat others with respect, and not harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone;
- not share your sign-in, or let anyone else use your account;
- do your own coursework. You may use AI tools: the course expects it, and asks you to log the tool and model you used. You may not submit another person's work as your own;
- not try to manipulate the grading assistant. Putting instructions aimed at the assistant inside a submission, outside an exercise the course sets, counts as misconduct;
- not try to extract, copy or publish the marking guides or feedback keys;
- not upload anything that section 11 forbids.
If you break these rules we may warn you, remove your work or posts, suspend your account, or end your place. If we end your place for serious misconduct, [no refund is due].
8. Discussion groups and Chatham House
Learners meet in groups of about eight, and in live sessions, to discuss real situations. To make that safe, the discussion groups and live sessions run under a rule modeled on the Chatham House Rule.
In plain words: you may use what you learn in a group discussion or a live session. You may not reveal who said it, or which firm or employer they belong to, or who else took part. You may not circulate the list of participants.
The rule means:
- you may use an idea, an approach or a technique in your own work;
- you may not say "a controller at [firm] told us...", or post a screenshot of the group;
- it does not stop you describing your own experience and your own employer.
This binds you as a term of the agreement. The group's size and the instructor's moderation are not a substitute for your own care. Do not post anything about your employer that you are not permitted to share. If you do, you are responsible for it. We may remove a post at any time. We cannot control what other learners do once they have left the group, and we do not guarantee confidentiality beyond our own conduct and these terms. Recordings of live sessions are not covered by this section; section 10 governs them.
9. Your work (learner IP)
- You keep ownership of your coursework, discussion posts and anything else you create. We do not claim it.
- You give us a limited license to host, copy, store, display and process your work, and to give it to our service providers (including the AI grading assistant), for one purpose: to mark it, give you feedback, run the discussion groups, keep the records described in the privacy policy and answer review requests. The license is worldwide, non-exclusive and royalty-free. It ends when we delete your work under the retention schedule (subject to the backup period in the privacy policy).
- We will not use your work to train an AI model, and we will not allow our AI provider to.
- We will not publish, quote or use your work in marketing without your separate written permission. We may use anonymized, combined statistics (for example, average scores).
- You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, that it does not breach your employer's rules or anyone's confidentiality, and that you have followed section 11. You are responsible for what you share.
10. Our materials (course IP)
The slides, guides, recordings, exercises, templates, marking guides, feedback keys, Northwind data, software and the Ledger & Agent name and logo belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the materials for your own learning and, in your job, to apply what you learn.
You may not:
- share, post, sell, lend or publish the materials or recordings, or give anyone access to the portal;
- record the live sessions yourself, or take a screen capture of the recordings;
- copy the materials into your employer's own training, or use them to build a competing course;
- put the materials into an AI model or any tool for the purpose of training or building another product;
- remove copyright or ownership notices.
Each seat licenses one named person. Recordings may include the voices, images or chat of other learners. We tell you at the start of each session that it is being recorded. By staying in a recorded session you agree to that recording, and you may use the chat or the question form instead of speaking. See the privacy policy, section 5.
11. What not to upload
For the November course, and for any cohort we name on the enrollment page, use Northwind Supply Co. data only. Northwind is the fictional company we provide. Do not upload employer data, client data or your own organization's data to the portal, even if you have anonymized it. This applies until we have completed and published our security test of the portal and say, on the enrollment page, that later cohorts may use their own anonymized material. [Owner to confirm.]
For any later cohort that is allowed to use its own material, do not upload personal information about other people, client records, bank or payment details, payroll data, or tax return information. Do not upload anything your employer or a confidentiality duty forbids you to share.
We may delete a submission that breaks this section and ask you to resubmit.
12. AI-drafted feedback and your right to human review
- An AI grading assistant reads each submission and drafts the feedback, using the week's grading guide.
- [A person releases every piece of feedback before you see it. A person re-reads in full every piece of work returned for revision, a sample of work marked complete [sampling rate: owner to decide] and every capstone score, and every final-deliverable score in the November course. Each piece of feedback says whether it was re-read in full.] [Owner to confirm before November 17.]
- You can ask for a person to review any result. Write to [review request email] within [14] days of receiving it, and say which item. A person who did not draft the feedback will review it and reply within [5] business days. Their decision on that item is final within the program, subject to section 17.
- We log each draft and each human decision. See the privacy policy, section 6.
- The assistant can be wrong. We do not promise that every item of feedback is correct. We do promise to correct an error when you tell us.
- We may change the AI tools we use. We will keep the human review described here.
13. Not professional advice
The programs are general education. They are not legal, tax, accounting, audit, security or investment advice and do not create a client relationship. Rules and frameworks change; check them against current primary sources and with your own advisers. AI tools make mistakes: you remain responsible for checking anything an AI produces before you rely on it. We do not guarantee any result, such as a job, promotion, time saving or audit outcome.
14. Continuing education
At the effective date of these terms, no session is registered for continuing professional education (CPE) credit. Whether a licensing body accepts your attendance toward its continuing education requirement is for you and that body to decide. If we register a session for CPE, the enrollment page will say which one, and that will not change what you have bought.
15. Accessibility
If you need an adjustment, such as captions, a transcript or extra time, write to [accessibility email] before the cohort starts or as soon as you need it. We will work with you in good faith.
16. Limits on our responsibility
- We provide the programs "as is", with reasonable skill and care. We do not give any other warranty, express or implied, to the extent the law allows.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, loss of data, loss of business or reputation, or any loss arising from your reliance on AI output or on the course material.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you arising from these terms or the program is limited to the amount you paid for your seat.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some places do not allow the exclusions above, and if you live in one of them, they apply to you only so far as the law lets them.
- You agree to indemnify us against claims by a third party arising from material you uploaded in breach of section 11.
17. Disputes and governing law
- Please contact us first at [support email]. We will try to settle a problem informally within [30] days.
- These terms are governed by the laws of [state] and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
- Courts: [the state and federal courts located in [county, state]] have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek urgent relief to protect intellectual property or confidential information anywhere.
- Nothing in this section removes rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place where you live. For learners in Quebec, see section 20.
18. Ending your place
You may stop at any time. Stopping does not give you a refund unless section 4 does. We may end your place for the reasons in section 7, and we will tell you why. Sections that are meant to continue (IP, confidentiality, limits on responsibility, disputes) do so after the end.
19. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for future cohorts by posting the new version with a new date. If we change them during your cohort in a way that makes your position worse, we will tell you by email at least [30] days beforehand and you may end your place and receive [a pro rata refund; owner to decide]. The terms you accepted at purchase apply to your cohort otherwise. Earlier versions are kept on request.
20. Canada and Quebec
[Section pending counsel.] If you live in Canada, the consumer protection law of your province may give you rights that these terms cannot remove, and those rights apply.
21. General
- These terms, the enrollment page and the privacy policy are the whole agreement. A separate written agreement for team training prevails over these terms for the people it covers.
- If a part is unenforceable, the rest continues.
- We may assign this agreement to a successor of the business (for example when our company is formed or sold). You may not assign it, except under section 5.
- Notices go to the email address on your account, or to [support email] for us.
- [Company legal name] is a [state] limited liability company.
