In four weeks from November 17, you redesign one finance workflow with AI and test it on a full set of company books.
AI You Can Sign Off On is a four-week course for controllers, accountants and accounting firms. You choose a finance workflow, rebuild it with AI, add the checks and controls a reviewer would ask for, and run it on the Northwind books. Every piece of your work comes back with written feedback.

finance workflow, chosen from six on the Northwind books, redesigned with AI and its controls

1–2
hours of coursework a week, with written feedback on every piece
From a recorded run · accruals agent
- Step 7Plan: check the entries balance and the accounts exist; write draft workings only; stop for controller approval.
- Step 8Draft entries balance: debits = credits = 169,373.31. Every account exists in the chart.
- HoldFinal journal-entry file not written. Awaiting controller approval.
- RelayedAn approval passed on by another agent is declined: it "can't stand in for" the controller's own approval.
Recorded on Claude against the fictional Northwind books. All five accrual amounts matched the answer key.
The November course
By December 14 you hand in one workflow redesigned with AI, tested on a full set of company books, with the controls written down.
You choose one of six Northwind workflows, from the October accruals to the bank reconciliation, and rebuild it with AI. Each session is built on a recorded AI run. Each week your work comes back with written feedback drafted by an AI assistant; a person approves every return for revision and a sample of the rest, and decides every final score.
Live sessions
Tuesdays, November 17, November 24, December 1 and December 8, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Eastern. Each is recorded and posted within 24 hours.
Final deliverable
Monday, December 14: your workflow redesigned with AI, its checks and controls, and one run on the Northwind books. A person reads it and decides the score.
Then the full program
The eight-week program follows, and turns one workflow into an adoption plan for your whole function.
AI for Accounting Professionals
One 60-minute live session a week for eight weeks, eight recorded AI runs on the Northwind books, coursework with written feedback, a discussion group of about eight and a capstone adoption plan. $2,450 a seat.
Your adoption plan
Which workflows to change, at what cost, with which controls, KPIs and safeguards, and a 30, 60 and 90-day roadmap you can put in front of your CFO, managing partner or audit committee.
From a recorded run · vendor master
An AI agent with write access to the vendor master was given an invoice carrying a hidden instruction to change the vendor's bank details. It refused the change, reported the instruction and held the payment. The vendor master was unchanged when checked afterward.
Recorded on Claude Sonnet 5.5 against the fictional Northwind books. All five invoice decisions in the run matched the answer key. One model, one run: the controls that protect the money are a call-back to a number on file and no write access to bank details.
Who it is for
Both courses are written for the people who sign off the numbers.
Controllers and finance leaders
You own the close and the controls. You leave knowing which workflows to change first, at what cost, and how to control them.
Staff and senior accountants
You do the reconciliations, accruals and journal entries. You leave having redesigned one of them with AI and shown that the output ties to source.
Accounting firms: audit, tax and advisory
You answer to professional standards. The full program covers the AICPA Code, IRC §7216, PCAOB evidence requirements and client data, alongside the tools.
What is different
Every demonstration is a recorded AI run, checked against an answer key.
1
Recorded runs, checked line by line
Each demonstration is recorded on Claude and checked against an answer key. Where the AI went wrong, the course shows it and teaches from it.
2
A full set of company books
Northwind Supply Co. is a fictional industrial-supplies distributor in Cleveland, Ohio, with about 95 staff and roughly $45 million a year in sales. The books carry planted errors for you to find, an answer key lets you check every result, and the data is invented, so it is safe to use in any AI tool.
3
Written feedback on your own work
You submit work and get written notes back. A person reviews every return for revision and every capstone score.
4
Security and governance in depth
Prompt injection, data classification, controls over AI steps, testing after a model change, and KPIs that a CFO can hold you to.
Choose one workflow on November 17, and hand in its redesign, controls included, on December 14.
